Air lock ash unloading device

Equipment Introduction

The air lock ash unloading device is opened and closed by switching two valves, so that the powder in the powder filter chamber of the rear filter can be discharged to the waste powder collection box in time. The two areas are completely separated by mechanical devices to reduce the risk of dust explosion.

Device Description

The air lock ash unloading device is installed at the bottom of the rear filter. The electromagnetic valve controls the opening and closing of the upper and lower butterfly valves to continuously transfer the powder collected in the ash hopper to the powder barrel. There is a butterfly valve monitoring module in the control box, which will send out an audible and visual alarm signal when the butterfly valve fails. At any time during the ash unloading cycle, the powder barrel and the ash hopper are separated by valve discs, eliminating the possibility of secondary explosion.

Functions and features

Comply with the national standard mandatory requirements corresponding clauses:

GB15577-2018 Dust Explosion Safety Regulations 8.4.6: Dry dust collectors should be equipped with air-locking ash unloading devices to promptly clear the accumulated ash in the ash bin.

AQ4273-2016 Safety Technical Specifications for Dust Removal Systems in Dust Explosion Hazardous Areas 5.1.6: The dust collector shall be equipped with an air lock and dust removal device in accordance with the following requirements:

a) An air-locking ash unloading device should be installed at the bottom of the dust collector hopper, and the ash unloading working cycle should be designed so that there is no dust accumulation in the ash hopper.

b) A monitoring device shall be installed to monitor abnormal operation and shutdown due to fault of the dust unloading device. When abnormal operation or shutdown due to fault occurs, an audible and visual alarm signal shall be issued.

The air-locking ash unloading device is an important component of the dust explosion-proof safety system. Through mechanical separation and automatic monitoring, it can effectively prevent dust accumulation and explosion risks, and complies with relevant national safety standards and technical specifications.
